The Problem

The Problem

Launching a fully custom site in just three weeks is no small feat. It’s a challenge that could intimidate most seasoned digital teams. When Flight Risk approached us with an ambitious deadline and a ready to launch brand, we knew we were ready to deliver.

Flight Risk isn’t your ordinary lifestyle brand. Born in 2024, it’s a movement—dedicated to injecting fun and adventure into every ride, whether it’s a morning mission, a late-night dash, or an off-road escape. Their e-bikes are unlike anything else on the market, designed to break free from the mundane and turn everyday commutes into electrifying adventures.

This is a brand for free spirits. When Abe & the team approached us with an ambitious timeline, the Prosper Digital team didn’t hestiate.

The team was excited bu the bold & uncompromising brand & the opportunity to translate this into a digital experience.

With just 3 weeks to launch a custom theme on Shopify.

Here’s how we turned their vision into reality—at full speed.

Why the Race Against Time?

Flight Risk is all about adventure, and they needed a digital space that reflected their bold, dynamic brand. Their vision was crystal clear: Design & reskin a Shopify theme to help Flight Risk to launch fast & excite customers in time to maximise the pre-Christmas period.

With the first of December quickly approaching, this project needed to launch on Shopify in just 3 weeks.

The Solution

The Solution

The 3-Week Plan: How We Made It Happen

Week 1: Kickoff, Discovery & Design
We hit the ground running. The first week was all about asking the right questions, locking down priorities, and mapping out a clear game plan.

  • Kickoff: Alignment was key. We brought together key stakeholders and our core team to define the must-haves, nice-to-haves, and the “dream big” ideas.
Defining a clear scope was important to aligning between key stakeholders whilst keeping the project to it's tight timeline.
  • Discovery: We dove deep into Flight Risk’s brand—understanding their audience, voice, and the unique energy they bring to their work.
  • Design: Turning around fully developed designs in just two days, Elise spent he time delving into the brand guideline & exploring how the site could come to life through high fidelity designs. To launch a project like this, prioritising key sections & pages throughout the eCommerce journey leads to success.

Week 2: Development

Once the designs were locked in, it was all hands on deck to bring them to life.

  • Brief: Successful handover of design to dev allowed our team to identify & minimise features which would put the Pre-Christmas launch at risk.
  • Build: Our developers worked in sync with designers to ensure every detail translated perfectly into the site.

Week 3: Testing, Deployment & Content Loading
The final stretch was all about precision and polish.

  • Testing: We put the site through its paces with a streamlined QA process.
  • Deployment: Launch day came with zero hiccups, thanks to careful planning and plenty of coffee.
  • Content Loading: From visuals to copy, the flight Risk team handled content through Shopify's metafields & objects to enhance the display of products.

Behind the Scenes: Turning Challenges into Wins

This wasn’t just a project—it was a sprint. But with every challenge, our team found creative ways to keep moving forward.

Challenge: The tight timeline demanded quick decision-making.
Solution: Clear communication. Weekly (and sometimes daily) check-ins kept everyone aligned and ensured no time was wasted.

Challenge: Password Page requirement 1 day prior to launch
Solution: Design & develop an on brand password page. Maintain clear communication.

Challenge: Balancing speed with quality.
Solution: We relied on our tried-and-tested workflows and a dedicated team that brought their A-game every single day.

The result

 Launch Day: A High-Flying Success

On launch day, the Flight Risk store was published. Meeting the deadline, the final experience was a responsive site – exceeding the expectations of the Flight Risk team. We are proud to deliver a design first site that captured the brand’s adventurous spirit and bold personality.

Highlights

Key Takeaways: How can you achieve a 3 week launch on Shopify.

This project taught us (and reminded us) of a few key principles:

  1. Prioritise ruthlessly: A tight timeline makes it critical to focus on what matters most – Deliver on key pages & flexible sections.
  2. Collaborate deeply: Ask – "are we aligned" as often as possible. Set out clear dealines. Work with a team like Prosper Digital who is ready to adapt.
  3. Embrace the challenge: Big goals can push teams to achieve their best work.

For Flight Risk, this site wasn’t just a launch—it was a statement. And for us at Prosper Digital, it was another reminder that with the right strategy and the right team, it's possible to launch a custom theme in just 3 weeks.
